Les moines expriment une v\u00e9n\u00e9ration particuli\u00e8re pour Notre-Dame en pla\u00e7ant son image sacr\u00e9e sur leur c\u0153ur \u2013 cousue directement sur leur habit, au niveau de la poitrine \u2013 qu\u2019ils embrassent avec d\u00e9votion chaque jour avant de rev\u00eatir leur habit, renouvelant ainsi leur d\u00e9votion filiale et leur cons\u00e9cration \u00e0 sa protection maternelle. Les moines s\u2019en remettent \u00e0 son intercession maternelle, implorant sa guidance tandis qu\u2019ils gravissent le chemin escarp\u00e9 de la vie contemplative et de la solitude \u00e9r\u00e9mitique.
